Alcoholic family

For our final task we had to write a story of 200-250 words. But the story had to end with the sentence "That was the last time he/she ever saw them". So here I leave you my work.

It was the year 1995 in England. There lived a common girl called Jennifer Smith. But what people didn't know was that she had a terrible family problem. Her parents were alcoholic. Apart from that, she didn't have any brother or sister and she had to stay alone most of the frightened nights because her parents went out to go to bars. She literally didn't talk to her parents. A typical talk with her mother was, "Sandy can you pass the bottle?" her mother said, Jennifer could smell the alcohol, "My name is not Sandy it is Jennife and I'm your daugther!" shouted Jenny, "Whatever, pass the bottle" Jenny gave her the bottle angrily. She never talked with her father. Eventhough she had lots of friends, she didn't talk with anyone about her problem.
But one day something changed. When she went back form school her parents were kind to her. When she passed through the door and her mother happily said "Jennifer how are you?" she was impressed, sha had never seen her so happy or even sober. Her fahter talked to her for the first time. She had a really good time, she laughted with her parents. She thought that everything would change, until the night came. Her mother shouted at her "Jenny we are going to Moe's," the bar where they always go. She realized things would never change. She had dinner and she went to sleep. The next morning she was surprised that she didn't hear noises when they went back. She went to their room. The wardrobe was with the door opened and with no clothes. They had left her. She was angry and sad. She realized that that night was the last time she ever saw them.
