We have been working on cyclones (how they are form; effects, etc.) We have beeing asked to write a report on a famous cyclone. I choose "Cylone George"
Place: Pilbara coast, affecting theWestern and Northern part of Australia.
When: March 8 of 2007.
Category: 4, winds of 275 km/h
Effects:
It produced heavy rains, in some partesfloods were prevented because of a previousinsufficiency of rainfall, even though in someparts the water reached 200mm and rodaswere closed up. The number of deaths werethree and many injuries (28 approx.). Treesfall down and the airports were shut down. People had to evacuate and the water wascontaminated. Some buildings were damagedbut there were some structural damage and lack of maintenance on them too. Power and telephone lines were down. Luckily mostlyall of the houses survived because of theirresistance materials. The amount of moneyused to fix damages was $15.7 millionapproximately.

Good summary, Sofi and it's good you've included your sources. However, there are some language and printing mistakes I'd like to discuss with you in class.
